Mildred "Millie" Schreiner went to be with her Lord and Savior December 8, 2022 at New Hope Bay in Bay City. She was 89 years old. Mildred Marion Reinert was born on November 15, 1933 in Millington to the late Louis and Charlotte (Dittmar) Reinert - the ninth of eleven children. On July 30, 1955 she was married to Carl Schreiner, and they made their home in Frankenmuth.

Millie was the first in her family to graduate from Millington High School in 1952. She worked at Zehnder's Restaurant ("The Hotel") as a waitress and Universal Engineering in the office. Millie was a member of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church and worked as a cook in the school's kitchen. Millie served lunch to the children of St. Lorenz Lutheran School for 25 years, retiring in 1994. While working at St. Lorenz she also worked at the Village Store and continued to work there in her retirement years until it was sold.

Volunteering at Bethesda and The Clothesline were regular activities for Millie over the years. Her hobbies over the years were many, including knitting, quilting, gardening, canning, bowling, following Marv Herzog as a blue jacket member, catering, baking, and in her later years taking bus tours to Branson and various casinos.

In addition to her husband, Carl, Mildred is survived by their three children: Cindy Tuck, Dennis Schreiner, and Terry (Suzanne) Schreiner all of Frankenmuth; five grandchildren - Jacob Schreiner, Jamie Schreiner, Joshua (Erica) Schreiner, Nathanial (Allie) Schreiner, and Nicholas (Lauren) Tuck; and five great grandchildren - Micah Schreiner, Madelyn and Isabelle Schreiner, Grace and Noah Schreiner. Mildred is survived by two brothers: Alfred (Connie) Reinert, Victor (Janette) Reinert, sister-in-law Marian Reinert and brother-in-law James Schreiner. Many nieces and nephews also survive her.

Mildred was preceded in death by brothers and sisters: Erwin (Erna) Reinert, Walter (Genevieve) Reinert, Erna (Arnold) Rodammer, Harvey (Marion) Reinert, Vera (Herb) Witt, Raymond Reinert, Wyman Reinert, Beulah (Edward) Schiefer, and sister and brother-in-laws Mildred (Arnold) Rogner, Roy (Marie) Schreiner, Virginia Schreiner, and Leona Reinert.
