Armilda "Milly" V. List

Frankenmuth, MI

Milly List lost her battle with Alzheimer's disease on February 11, 2020 at the age of 83. Armilda Viola Petzold was born on February 26, 1936 in Tuscola County. She grew up on her parent's dairy farm in Millington, Michigan where she was a member of St Paul's Lutheran Church.  She married Gilbert List on August 25, 1956 in Millington and settled in Frankenmuth where she raised her three children.  She was an active member of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church and worked for the church and school after her marriage. Milly's family and faith were always the center of her life. For many years, she was caregiver to her husband, her brother and her mother.  She lived her life with kindness, grace, selflessness and a sense of humor.

Milly is survived by her children Geoffrey (Teresa Plachetka) List, Laurie (Mark) Hazel and Carmen (Randy) Bauer; her five grandchildren Sean (Kristyn) O'Connor, Rachel (Josh) Meisel, Zachary List, Eric Bauer and Jonathan Bauer; four great-grandchildren Elliot Meisel, Oliver Meisel, Aaron O'Connor and Mia O'Connor; brother Chester (Shirley) Petzold; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert List; her parents, Gustav & Helen Petzold; and brother, Rudy Petzold.

Funeral services will take place on Monday, February 17, 2020 at 10:15 a.m. at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. and 11:00 a.m. at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church. Rev. Joel Kaiser will officiate with burial between services at St. Lorenz Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the prayer service.
