Nancy Lou Sura, age 74, of Frankenmuth, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at Covenant Glen Long Term Care facility. Nancy was born on June 10, 1948 in Ludington, MI to the late John and Theresa Charboneau. She married Paul Sura in March of 1973. Paul passed away on June 29, 2012. Nancy graduated in 1966 from St. Mary's High School in Mt. Morris, MI. She later earned a bachelor's degree in accounting and was employed by General Motors for 30+ years. After retirement, Nancy pursued her interest in Real Estate. She earned a Builders License and a Real Estate License and became involved in building/selling homes. Nancy was a strong advocate for the Childrens with Disabilities Organization and dedicated countless hours of service for many years. In her free time, Nancy loved to travel and hang-out with her sisters and long-term friends. She also enjoyed going out for breakfast or lunch with friends. Big Boy and Zehnder's were two of her favorite places to eat.
Nancy was accepting and kind to everyone. She was always willing to listen and provide unconditional love and support to those who touched her life. Nancy's family and friends could always depend on her to see them through difficult times.
Left to cherish her memory are her two children, Michele Sura and James Sura; sisters Marilyn Fedchenko, Judy Schroeder and husband Neil, Margie Arndt and husband Bob; brother Tim Charboneau, and wife Deborah, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband Paul, Nancy was preceded in death by her parents John and Theresa Charboneau; mother-in-law Ann Groulx and brothers-in-law Andrew Sura and Richard Fedchenko.
A special thank you, goes to the staff at Covenant Glen Long Term Care Facility in Frankenmuth, MI and the staff at Heartland Hospice in Midland, MI for their care and compassion.
Memorial service will take place on Friday, June 2, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin Street. Fr. Patrick Jankowiak will officiate. According to Nancy's wishes cremation has taken place. Nancy's family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Children with Disabilities Organization or Blessed Trinity Catholic Church in Frankenmuth.
