Nancy M. Wiegand

Bridgeport, MI

Loving mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother, Nancy May Wiegand went home to the Lord on Sunday, March 17, 2024, following a brief illness; age 80 years. She was born to Bertha and Herbert Spindler on March 26, 1943 in Saginaw. Her parents predeceased her. She married John Wiegand, Jr. in 1959. He predeceased her on November 3, 2022. She mourned the love of her life until she could see him again.

Nancy was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, where she and John were members for many years and participated in the living Nativity at Christmas time. Over the years Nancy worked at Gaertner's Greenhouse, Saginaw Specialty and retiring in 1987 from Saginaw Steering Gear. But Nancy's main love was her family, and enjoying life with her husband, John. She was involved in the Shriners and Masons, holding offices, riding on trips to take children to the Shriners hospital, volunteering at the circus, and more.

Nancy leaves one son, John M. Wiegand and his wife, Brenda; two grandsons, Colton (Courtney) and Brenton (Lynnette) Wiegand; and eight great grandchildren, Dustin, Jason, Landen, Carsen, Hayden, Madisen, Emmett and Alyna. Nancy also leaves one sister, Marilyn Strickland, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Debbie; granddaughter Angie; and brother-in-law Fred Strickland.

Memorial service will take place on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 8220 E. Holland Rd. in Frankentrost. Nancy's family will receive visitors at the church from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service. According to Nancy's wishes, cremation has taken place.
