Nicky J. Ragan

Nicky James Ragan, 55, of Frankenmuth, MI, was called to his heavenly home surrounded by his family and friends on January 14, 2019. Nick endured a short battle with lung cancer. He was born June 10, 1963 to the late Palmer "Dean" and Emogene (Mayhew) Ragan of Bridgeport, MI. Nick was a very kind, loving, caring man. He enjoyed the outdoors, going up north, camping and campfires. Nick also enjoyed classic TV shows, westerns and older country music. Nick worked in the Fire Protection Business. He was part of the Frankenmuth Muth Youth Football Organization and enjoyed volunteering his time. Nick cherished the time he spent watching his sons play sports, or anything they were a part of. He truly loved his grandchildren and they brought so much joy to him.

Nick is survived by his loving wife Sandy Ragan; 4 sons Jeffrey (Ashley) Ragan of Bridgeport,  Adam J. Ragan, Aaron J. Ragan and Nicholas J. Ragan all of Frankenmuth; 4 grandchildren Brayden, Koralyne, Jeffrey and Alyson; brothers and sisters Danny (Judy) Ragan, Dewey (Chris) Ragan, Donnie (Gordy) Sedwick, Dottie Seager, Val (Larry) Ostrander, Howard Ostrander, Tony (Maryann) Ragan, Angie (Mike) Wallace,  Dorla (Bob) Welsch, Bert (Tracy) Ragan and Sheri Wonch.

Besides his parents, Nick was predeceased by: brothers Dean Ragan, Steve Ostrander and sister Dee Ragan.

He will also be remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins all of whom loved him dearly, including countless numbers of friends. He will be dearly missed by all.

Funeral services will take place on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin Street.  Nick's family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service.
