Nona Simnitch

Frankenmuth, MI

Passed away peacefully on Friday, December 22, 2023 at her home; age 92 years. Nona was born on September 16, 1931 in Mayville, MI to the late Carl and Laura Harris. She was married to Hubert Simnitch on July 2, 1948; he predeceased her on October 23, 2001. Nona owned and operated The Quilt Shop for many years and was a member of the Michigan Quilting Association.

Surviving are two sons and one daughter, Thomas Simnitch, Michael Simnitch and Patricia Allred; four grandchildren Scott (Sandy) Simnitch, Todd (Kristi) Simnitch, Alex Simnitch and Danielle (Ted Hogrefe) Van Fleet; three great grandchildren Connor and Dalton Simnitch and Cole Hogrefe.

Besides her husband Hubert, Nona was preceded in death by her daughter Nancy Simnitch, daughter-in-law Linda Simnitch and son-in-law Tom Allred.

According to Nona's wishes, cremation has taken place.
