Went to be with his Lord Saturday, January 20, 2018, at his home; age 84 years. Norman was born on September 20, 1933, in Frankenmuth, MI to the late Walter and Ottilie Daenzer. He was married to Nancy List on August 22, 1959; she predeceased him on February 14, 2010. Norman was employed by Star of the West Milling until his retirement. He was a member of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, enjoyed playing pinochle and was a founding member of the Gera Old Tractor Club.
Surviving are his children; Laura (Ken) Liebrecht, Keith Schlott, Maureen Murray Schlott, John Daenzer, Sarah (Dexter) Henley, Dusty (Jennifer) Ballard; 13 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren, one brother, Eric (Marlene) Daenzer; one sister, Marie (Fred) Trinklein and many nieces and nephews. Norman generously opened his home and heart to many foster children.
Besides his wife Nancy, Norman was preceded in death by a sister, Leona Gugel and by one grandson, Patrick Daenzer.
Funeral services will take place at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, January 25, 2018 at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, 1030 W. Tuscola, Frankenmuth, Michigan, Rev. Joel C. Kaiser will officiate with cremation to follow. Norman's family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and on Thursday at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.
