Patricia Ann Drews of Vassar passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at the age of 89 years. She was born on April 5, 1937, in Tampa, Florida, to the late Marie and Morrell Miller.

Patricia was a woman of deep faith who was a devoted member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church. Her faith, family, and the love she shared with her husband, William, were at the heart of her life.

Patricia and William’s love story began on Christmas Eve, when they were introduced on a blind date. They spent the evening talking about their lives, their faith, and their families; they hardly took their eyes off one another the entire night. Both had arrived early for the gathering—and, in a charming coincidence, they even drove identical cars. From that very first evening, it seemed they were meant to be together.

Patricia and William shared a loving marriage and 43 cherished years together. They especially enjoyed fishing and traveling together, making memories that remained special to Patricia throughout her life. In her younger years, she also enjoyed sewing. Above all, Patricia treasured the simple joys of family, faith, companionship, and the people she loved.

William preceded her in death in July 2021. Their love and the life they shared remained an important part of Patricia’s story.

Patricia is survived by her sister, Rosemary Miller; brother, Leo Carl Miller; and niece, Suzanne (Timothy) Giddings. She will be lovingly remembered by her family and all those whose lives she touched.

A Funeral Mass will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 7, 2026, at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, 958 E. Tuscola St., Frankenmuth, MI. Fr. Patrick Jankowiak will officiate, with burial to follow at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery. Patricia’s family will receive visitors at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
