Paul L. Gamber

Frankenmuth, MI

Went home with his Lord Sunday December 15, 2019 after a lengthy battle with pancreatic cancer; age 69 years. Paul was born on November 24, 1950 in Flint, MI to the late Howard and Alice Gamber. He honorably served in the US Navy. He was married to Mary Graham on November 2, 1974; she survives him. Paul retired from Kroger after 50 years in the grocery business. He was a member of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, and former member of Frankenmuth Noon Rotary. Paul enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing and bowling.

Surviving besides his wife Mary are: 2 daughters Megan (Jeremy) DuRussel of Jenison, MI, Paula (Dan) VanVeghel of Caledonia, MI; 6 grandchildren Payton, Karsyn, Collyns, Beckett, Grace, Austin; brothers and sisters Dennis (Nancy) Gamber, Janine Gamber, John (Sharon) Gamber, Joan Clark, Cindy (Jesse) Smith; beloved in-laws, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Paul was preceded in death by his son Nathan Gamber and his brother Phillip Gamber.

Memorial service will take place on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin Street. Pastor Dennis Gamber will officiate. According to Paul's wishes cremation has taken place. Paul's family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, Paul's final wish was that donations be made to support the Vaibhav Sahai pancreatic cancer Research Fund.
