Phyllis Elizabeth Moody

Phyllis Elizabeth Moody, 76, of Vassar, our loving and caring mother, Granny, sister, aunt, and friend passed away on the morning of Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at Covenant – Harrison.

Phyllis was born in Saginaw on February 20, 1944, the daughter of the late Harry and Marian (McLain) DePottey. A devoted and hardworking lady, Phyllis was the former owner of the Halfway Truck Stop and employee for 47 years. She enjoyed BINGO and most recently, after learning how to navigate the internet, playing BINGO on her tablet, where she was also a social butterfly on social media. Always a wealth of Vassar information, Phyllis will be deeply missed, yet lovingly remembered for generations to come.

She leaves to carry on her legacy, her two children, Dawn (Kevin) Kibbe and Dennis (Tracy) Moody. She was the most loving and supportive Granny of Amy (Chad) Arnold, James (Jenny) Schmitzer, Matthew Moody, and Emily Moody. Also surviving are her great-grandchildren, Brayden and Connor Arnold, Emersyn Arnold, Logan Schmitzer; sister, Dianna (David) LeHotan, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by her siblings, Gerald (Barbara) DePottey, Judith (Gerald "Bud") Martin, and Sharon (Darryl "Whitey") Ropp.

Phyllis' Funeral Ceremony will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at The Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. Interment will follow in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Visiting will be on Saturday from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Memorial contributions may be directed to the wishes of the family.
