Ralph E. Schrader

Sandusky, MI

Went home to be with the Lord, Monday February 8th, 2021 at New Hope Bay; age 93 years.  Ralph was born on August 8th, 1927 in Flint, MI to the late Delbert and Gladys Schrader. He was married to Linda for 70 years until she predeceased him on September 3rd, 2017. Ralph worked for Yale Rubber Manufacturing until his retirement in 1988. He belonged to Second Presbyterian Church of Marlette. Ralph was a private pilot, he loved spending his summers on Saginaw Bay where he sailed and fished. He enjoyed hunting, woodworking, water skiing, and fast boats.

Surviving are three daughters Kris (John V. III) Lewis of Frankenmuth, MI, Pam (Gary) Groth of Manning, SC, Kim (John) Norton of Sandusky, MI; grandchildren Melissa (David) McGovern, Jodi Groth, Tim (Sheena) Groth, Kayla Norton, Jack Norton; great grandchildren Tyler Niday, Sean and Drew McGovern, Brady and Evelyn Groth; and many nieces and nephews.

Ralph was preceded in death by two brothers Elton (Naomi) Schrader and Donald (Ruth) Schrader.

A memorial service will take place on Saturday May 1, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at Second Presbyterian Church, corner of Wood Rd. & Frenchline Rd., Marlette, MI 48453.  Rev. Chris Wolf will officiate with burial to follow in Zion Cemetery, Watertown Township. Ralph's family will receive visitors at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
