Ralph Weiss

Frankenmuth, MI

Passed away July 2, 2020, at age 88. Ralph was born on July 5, 1931 to the late Bernhard and Caroline Weiss. He was married to Eunice Keinath on May 2, 1952

Ralph worked at Weiss Farm Equipment for 13 years and GM Flint Truck Assembly for 27 years. He worked for the Frankenmuth Reserve Police for 30 years and loved the Bavarian Festival. He also worked as a crossing guard from 1991- 2014. Ralph knew everyone who passed through Frankenmuth, as he enjoyed and embraced life.

Ralph was a member of the Siem G Scheit which he hosted for many years. He was also a member of the Gemuetlichkiet club singers. Ralph was known for his laughter and jokes and will be remembered for the smile on his face. He was the neighborhood house sitter and will be sadly missed sitting in the garage as he watched everyone walk by as he would say, "hello".   Ralph was a member of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church and served as an usher.

Surviving besides his wife Eunice Weiss are: son Dean (Joni) Weiss and daughter Virginia (Charles) Albin. Grandchildren Joe (Katie) Weiss, Julia Weiss, Shawn Weiss, Shannon Dukarski, her fiancé Ben Huegel, and great granddaughter Blaire Weiss, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Ralph was preceded in death by his daughter Donna Weiss, his sister and spouse Lorine and Stuart Frahm and his brother, Robert Weiss and Anita Weiss.

Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials in lieu of flowers to St Lorenz Lutheran Church Operating Fund. A private service for immediate family will be held on July 7, 2020. Final arrangements have been entrusted to Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth.
