Richard W. M. Krafft

Westland, MI formerly of Frankenmuth, MI

Passed away August 5, 2019 after a short illness at Henry Ford Hospital, West Bloomfield; age 30 years. Richard was born on October 7, 1988. He resided in Westland, MI and was employed by Meijer Supermarket working in the meat department in Northville, MI. Richard graduated from Frankenmuth High School and then attended college at Schoolcraft College in Livonia and graduated with a culinary art degree. During his younger years he worked at Kern's for many years. He enjoyed playing games with his nieces and nephews. Richard loved going to the cottage in Houghton Lake. He was an avid gamer and loved Pokemon. He was also a University of Michigan and Frankenmuth Eagles football fan.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories his father and stepmother, Mike and Cathy Krafft; three stepsisters Mary Gilginas, Christina Kelley, Connie Auch; one stepbrother Roy Anklam; his grandfather Richard G. Krafft Jr., also many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Richard was preceded in death by his mother Martha Krafft in 1999 and his grandmother Mary Ann Krafft in 2016.

Memorial Service will take place on Monday, August 11, 2019, 11:00 a.m. at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, 1030 W. Tuscola, Frankenmuth, Michigan. Cremation has taken place. Richard's family will receive visitors at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Monday at the church from 10:15 a.m. until the time of service.  Burial next to his mother to follow after the service at St. Lorenz Cemetery. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Lorenz Rock Youth Center.
