Robert G. Dietrich

The Lord hugged and welcomed Bob home on Saturday, July 2, 2022, at Wellspring Lutheran Home; age 79 years. Robert was born on February 6, 1943 to the late Robert George (Edna Wendland) Dietrich. He honorably served in the US Navy. Robert was married to Sharon Frahm on June 19, 1965 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Saginaw; she survives him. He was employed as a Millwright at G.M. Malleable Iron until his retirement. Robert was a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church in Richville, MI and a former member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. He belonged to the American Legion Post 229 Frankentrost, MI.

Surviving besides his wife Sharon are children Sandra Dietrich, Karen (Jamison) Zehnder, Jeffrey (Jessica) Dietrich, Jennifer (John) Krause; grandchildren Shannon (Daniel) Gruzd, Hunter Krause, Tyler Krause, Mackenzie Talaski, Harper Dietrich, Carson Dietrich, Addisen Dietrich; sisters Arlene Bozung, Carol (Ronald) Knoll, Barbara Fletcher, Kathleen (George) Hoffmann; sister-in-law Nancy (Darryl) Sczepanski, and many nieces and nephews.

Robert was preceded in death by brothers-in-law Gerald Fletcher and Jack Bozung.

Funeral services will take place on Thursday, July 7, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael's Lutheran Church, 3455 S. Van Buren Road, Richville, Michigan. Rev. Wesley Gillaspie will officiate with burial in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Robert's family will receive visitors at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, St. Michael's Lutheran School, or Wellspring Lutheran Services.
