Robert A. Fitch

Robert Arlen Fitch, 50, of Durham, NC was born into eternal life September 8, 2021. He was born May 1, 1971, son of Jerry (Rose) Fitch Sr. and the late Rose (Alvin) Diener. Rob was a devoted husband to Jodi (Nagy) Fitch and loving father to three children, Donovan, Victoria, and Nicholas.

Rob grew up in Hemlock, Michigan and loved to cause trouble with his siblings, Jerry (Wendy) Fitch Jr., Fred (Ann) Fitch, Karen Fitch and Ron (Jill) Fitch and was a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. Rob's loving family expanded on October 31, 1998, when he married the love of his life, Jodi, and became a cherished son to Victoria and Richard Fischer, and brother-in-law to the late Jeffrey Nagy, Lori (Jim) Bugby, and Beth (Joseph) Hein.

He loved watching his kids play hockey, figure skate, dance, and display their musical talents.  When not supporting his children in their activities he loved to spend time watching his favorite sports teams: the Carolina Hurricanes and Pittsburgh Steelers, with his wife and friends. As a longtime member of Holy Infant Catholic Church in Durham, Rob enjoyed assisting with many activities as needed.

Rob was a member of the marching band at Saginaw Valley State University where he studied Computer Science which led to a career at Lockheed Martin as a Computer Programmer/Analyst. During his college years, he served in the United States Marine Corps Reserves with some active-duty special assignments.

Rob was predeceased by Alexander Joseph whom many have already commented on how the two surely are bonding through comedy in Heaven.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, September 13, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, 958 E. Tuscola Rd., Frankenmuth, Michigan. Fr. Patrick Jankowiak will officiate. Rob's family will receive visitors at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. There will be a Prayer Service on Sunday at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Visitation will also be at church on Monday from 12:00 noon until the time of service.
