Robert G. Offenborn, Jr.

Bob passed away peacefully with family by his side at Covenant Glen in Frankenmuth on November 20th, 2022 at age 79.

Bob was born to the late Robert G Offenborn and Evelyn (Wilinski) Offenborn on January 17th, 1943. He was a 1961 Frankenmuth High School graduate.  Bob went on to graduate from GMI Engineering and worked as a mechanical engineer at the GM Grey Iron Foundry in Saginaw.

He married Sharon Lehner in 1966, raising four children in Frankenmuth. After the loss of Sharon in 1999, Bob eventually retired at his cottage on Grand Lake in Presque Isle. He later married Judy Pawlowski of Mason, MI and gained a wonderful stepfamily. Bob loved to travel. He also enjoyed his time on the water, fishing off the dock, and walks along the lake.

Surviving are his four children, Karen (Scott) Stafford, Cindy (Scott) Ratz, Bob (Jody) Offenborn, and Bridget Andrews; seven grandchildren Makenzie, Madison, Josie, Justin, Riley, Halia, and Emilee; siblings David (Christine) Offenborn, Shari (Al) Schoenknecht, and Debbie (Jim) Mackin; many nieces and nephews; and many loved ones from the Lehner and Pawlowski families.

Bob was preceded in death by his first wife Sharon Lehner Offenborn in 1999, his second wife Judy Pawlowski in 2019, his infant son Robert G. Offenborn III, his niece, Heidi Schoenknecht; and recent loss of brother-in-law Joseph Lehner, and stepson Mark Pawlowski.

Funeral services will take place on Monday, November 28, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin Street. Robert's family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
