Robert L. Moore

Frankenmuth, MI

Went home to be with his Lord on Monday, June 5, 2023 at Covenant Cooper after a brief illness; age 82 years.  Bob was born on June 30, 1940 in Inkster, MI to the late Chester and Lucille Moore. He married Jeanne Kerr on April 15, 1961 at Taymouth Presbyterian Church. She survives him.

Bob graduated from Birch Run High School in the class of 1958. He was employed by General Motors for over 40 years as a financial analyst until his retirement. Bob was a member of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church.  He was in the very first training class of Stephen Ministers at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, was commissioned in 1989, and was a Stephen Minister leader for 20 years.  Bob also served on the St. Lorenz Ministry Council.  In addition, he served on the Taymouth Township Fire Department from 1972 to 1992, and served as sexton at Taymouth Township from 1983 thru 2003.

Surviving besides his wife Jeanne are: two sons, Mark Moore of Midland, MI and Paul (Pam) Moore of Birch Run, MI; three grandchildren, Lindsey Moore, Alexis Moore, and Ryan Moore; and one great-grandchild Ava Moore.

Besides his parents, Bob was preceded in death by a brother, Fred Moore, and his in-laws Glenn and Ivah Kerr.

Bob's family will receive visitors on Friday, June 9, 2023 at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A private service will take place at a later date.  Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Lorenz Vicar Fund, St. Lorenz Media Ministry, St. Lorenz School, or the Taymouth Township Fire Department.
