Robert E. "Bob" Tassell

Frankenmuth, MI formerly of Flushing

Passed away peacefully, on Monday April 4, 2022, at his residence; age 92 years. Robert "Bob" was born on October 5, 1929, in Kalamazoo, MI to the late Loyd and Marie Tassell. He was married to Joyce Osterman on January 31, 1952; she survives him. He received his B.S. in accounting from Western Michigan University. Bob honorably served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was employed by General Motors and later retired from McLaren Hospital in 1991. Bob was a member of Flushing Presbyterian Church; he loved to travel and spend time with his family. He also enjoyed fishing at Gun Lake.

Surviving are his wife Joyce and children Robin (James) Brouker of Frankenmuth, MI, Gregory (Brenda) Tassell of Grand Blanc, MI, Lynn (Paul) Staley of Clio, MI; grandchildren Jonathan (Anne) Brouker, Kevin Brouker, Ashley (Joe) Baker, Brett Tassell, Matthew (Christina) Staley, Amy (Britt) Martin, and Nathan (Abby) Staley; five great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law Norene Maxam, Karen Steinberger, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will take place on Friday, April 8, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin Street. Burial will take place on Tuesday, April 19th at 12:30 p.m. at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Bob's family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Flushing Presbyterian Church.
