Obituary

Robert Trinklein

Frankenmuth, MI

Robert George Trinklein went to be with his heavenly Father on Sunday, April 5, 2020.  He was born on April 29, 1933.  He served his country stateside during the Korean War.  On July 9, 1955, he married Vivian Gilbert, who survives him.  He worked for AAL (Thrivent) and Frankenmuth Mutual as an insurance salesman and was a member of the Saginaw Association of Life Underwriters.  He was active in his community:  a member of Rotary; on the St. Lorenz School Board; a member of Lutheran Laymen's League; a member and past commander of American Legion Post 150.  He loved the outdoors, and considered his time in the woods hunting and, on the waterways, fishing as more than well spent.

He leaves here on Earth three children John (Sue) Trinklein, Anne (Dan) Dinsmore, Mark (Kelly Saran) Trinklein, as well as five grandchildren Jason (Lauren), Emily (Michael), James (Jess), Wayne (Corrie), Katie (Greg).  He was also blessed with seven great-grandchildren.

Due to COVID19 restrictions, a memorial service will take place on a date later to be determined; arrangements entrusted to Cederberg Funeral Home. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Wellspring of Frankenmuth or a charity of donor's choice.
