Ronald E. Leidlein

Frankenmuth, MI

Went to be with his Lord with his wife Elizabeth by his side on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at Wellspring Lutheran Home of Frankenmuth; age 83 years. Ronald was born on August 2, 1941 in Saginaw, MI to the late Earl and Edwina (Luta) Leidlein. He was married to Elizabeth Knoerr on May 16, 1981; she survives him.

Ronald served in the Army National Guard from December 1963 to April 1964. He was employed at General Motors for many years until his retirement. Ronald enjoyed bowling, golfing, gardening, sports, and dining out at his favorite restaurants. He was a member of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church.

Surviving besides his wife of 43 years, Elizabeth (Knoerr) Leidlein, are: brother Larry (Youlonda) Leidlein of Lapeer; three children: Laura (Mike) Lasley of Traverse City, Julie (Tim) Williamson of Fenton Hills, and Jeffrey (Mary Ann) Leidlein of Ypsilanti; step-daughters Kimberly Worden of Frankenmuth and Deborah (John) Forbing Jr. of Saginaw; seven grandchildren: Jacob Minnis, Warren Leidlein, Max Leidlein, Carson Leidlein, Jhay Mercado, Kiana Mercado, and Connor Williamson; niece and Goddaughter Dawn Leidlein; nephew Christopher (Jennie) Leidlein; family friend Kyle Krauseneck; Godson Andrew Hall; and special fur-baby Chester.

Ronald was preceded in death by his first wife Judith Leidlein, the mother of his three children.

Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, 1030 W. Tuscola, Frankenmuth, Michigan. Rev. Joel Kaiser will officiate with burial in St. Lorenz Cemetery. Ronald's family will receive visitors at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
