Rosemary E. Knapp

Freeland, MI; Formerly of Dearborn, MI

Went home with her Lord Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at Stone Crest Assisted Living; age 85 years. Rosemary was born on July 15, 1938 in Saginaw, MI to the late Bernard and Loretta Knapp. She graduated from Aquinas College and became a Dominican Nun and later changed careers and became a registered nurse and taught at Wayne State University. She became a director of transportation at Harper Hospital until her retirement.

Rosemary was a member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church. She loved opera and volunteered at the Fox Theatre in Detroit. She also loved and doted on her family, especially her nieces and nephews, and enjoyed spending time outdoors and gardening.

Surviving are: sister Dorothy Wilson of Frankenmuth, MI; brother Daniel (Gretchen) Knapp of Saginaw, MI; sister-in-law Gretchen Knapp of Clio, MI; and many cherished nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Rosemary was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Knapp.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, 958 E. Tuscola Rd., Frankenmuth, Michigan. Fr. Patrick Jankowiak will officiate with burial in Blessed Trinity Cemetery. Rosemary's family will receive visitors at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
