Roxanne
Daenzer
Aug 18, 1945 — Apr 20, 2019
Roxanne Daenzer,
Frankenmuth, MI
Roxanne "Roxie" Daenzer went home to be with her Lord after a courageous hard-fought battle from cancer with family by her side on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at Ascension St. Mary's of Saginaw; age 73 years. Roxanne Keinath was born on August 18, 1945 in Millington, MI to the late Carl and Edna Keinath. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Millington, where she married Vernon Daenzer on December 2, 1967, he survives her. Together they raised four children on the family farm. Roxanne was a member of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church where she volunteered countless hours on the decorating committee and also served on the annual Fish Fry committee. Roxanne also volunteered at the Bethesda Thrift Store for many years. She had a passion for baking (homemade bread and Butterhorns were always requested at a family function), cooking, and entertaining house guests. Her attention to detail in everything she touched, especially decorating her house both inside and out, is unsurpassable and was evident in any and all family holiday gatherings. Her green thumb shined throughout the home, especially with her flower gardens. She took great pride in tending and caring for every plant. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren; going to sporting events, school concerts, or whatever they were involved in, and even teaching them how to polka and speak a little German. Her "Fun Gang" friends Mary & Gerry Hecht, Louie & Loretta Laux, Leo & Geraldine Daenzer, Ann and the late Gerry Frank, and Fred and Marie Trinklein were very near and dear to her heart.
Surviving besides her husband Vernon are: her four children Julie (Robert) Gohsman of Vassar, Renee (Jim) Rodammer of Vassar, Gene (Jennifer) Daenzer of Frankenmuth and Loren (Shelley) Daenzer of Fairgrove; seven grandchildren Kayla, Dana, Erica and Dylan Rodammer, Genevieve Daenzer, Bella and Jamison Daenzer and also two very special young ladies Charlie and Bradlie Sherwood; two sisters Bonnie (Richard) Wiacek and Pauline (Keith) David.
Funeral services will take place on Friday, April 26, 2019 at 10:15 a.m. at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. and 11:00 a.m. at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church. Rev. Shawn Fenske will officiate with burial between services in St. Lorenz Lutheran Cemetery. Roxanne's family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Lorenz Church Beautification Fund, American Cancer Society or a Charity of Donor's Choice.
