Sally S. White

Sally Sue White, loving mother, grammy, sister, aunt and treasured friend passed away peacefully on Friday, November 29, 2024 at Covenant Harrison; age 79 years. Sally Sue Pagels was born on December 24, 1944 in Saginaw, MI to the late Lawrence and Lorine Pagels. She was married to Clifford White on August 1, 1969; he predeceased her on November 3, 2018.

Sally graduated from Frankenmuth High School in 1962.  Sally or "Spartan Sal" as most knew her, proudly graduated from Michigan State University's College of Business with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1966.  Her commitment to education continued at Clio High School where she taught for 39 years before retiring in 2005. She was a lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Frankenmuth where she was baptized into God's family on January 12, 1943 and confirmed on March 30, 1958.  "Spartan Sal" was a faithful Spartan sports fan, always wearing her lucky pin on game days. Sally was thoughtful and selfless, always putting others before herself. She was a ray of positivity, was the biggest supporter of her daughter, granddaughter, nieces and nephews and was happiest when spending quality time with family and friends.

Surviving are: daughter Amber White of Midland, MI and granddaughter Abigail, the light of her life, special sisters Judy Hiles and Peggy (David) Miller; and brother-in-law Leon (Carol) White.

Besides her husband Clifford, Sally was preceded in death by brother-in-law Dave Hiles.

Funeral service will take place Friday, December 6, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, 1200 E. Genesee, Frankenmuth, Michigan.  Rev. Patrick Ernst will officiate with burial in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery.  Sally's family will receive visitors at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. on Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.  Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. John's Lutheran Church, Frankenmuth.
