Sarah A. "Sally" Carter

Frankenmuth, MI; Formerly of North Branch, MI

Went home with her Lord with family by her side Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at Covenant Medical Center after a brief illness; age 82 years.  Sarah Roche was born on February 9, 1941 to the late Enos and Margaret Roche. She graduated St. James High School Class of 1959. She was married to Jerry Carter Sr. on June 2, 1962; he survives her.

Sarah was a member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church and was a former member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church of North Branch. She volunteered at the Clothesline of Frankenmuth and Thrift Shop of North Branch. Sarah loved spending time with her family.

Surviving besides her husband Jerry Sr. are: Stephen Carter of Frankenmuth, MI; Jerry Jr. (Karen) Carter of Frankenmuth, MI; grandchildren Michael Carter, Benjamin Carter, Claire (Brennan) Zimmer, Jaclyn Carter, Nicholas Carter, Nicholas Gillman, and Benjamin Gillman; former daughter-in-law Wendy Veit; sister-in-law Jane Roche; and many nieces and nephews.

Sarah was preceded in death by brothers William (Arlene) Roche, James (Gloria) Roche, Jack (Florence) Roche, and David Roche.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, 958 E. Tuscola Rd., Frankenmuth, Michigan.  Fr. Patrick Jankowiak will officiate with burial in Blessed Trinity Cemetery.  Sarah's family will receive visitors at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. on Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
