Haubenstricker, Shirley A.

Birch Run, MI

Went home with her Lord Monday, September 10, 2018 at her home with family by her side; age 78 years.  Shirley Knoll was born on January 14, 1940 in Frankenmuth, MI to the late Walter and Elsie Knoll. She was married to Robert Haubenstricker on May 30, 1959, he predeceased her on July 14, 2006. Together they were lifelong dairy farmers. Shirley was a lifelong member of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, she served on their Missionary Guild. She belonged to the local Farm Bureau, loved gardening, cooking, canning, and watching hockey.

Surviving are; 2 sons and 1 daughter: Ken (Linda) Haubenstricker, Birch Run, MI, Barb (Larry) Buckley of Frankenmuth, MI, and Keith Haubenstricker of Birch Run, MI; 4 granddaughters: Rachel (Aaron) Wright, Monica Buckley, Bethany and Emily Haubenstricker; 2 great-grandchildren: Madelyn and Elijah Wright; 2 brothers and 3 sisters: Janice Knoll, Marilyn (Harry) Bloomfield, Millie (Eugene) Block, Dennis (Joyce) Knoll, and Larry (Toni) Knoll; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will take place on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 10:15 a.m. at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. and 11:00 a.m. at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church with burial between services in St. Lorenz Lutheran Cemetery.  Shirley's family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the 10:15 a.m. service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Lorenz Media Ministry or the Missouri Synod Lutheran Hour.
