Shirley Lounsberry

Ascended to her heavenly home Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at Union Court Assisted Living; age 97 years. Shirley Fulton was born on November 9, 1924 in Haslett, MI to the late Bernice and Wallace Fulton. While in her teens she met and later married Leon Campbell. They raised their three children in Haslett, MI. She later resided in Frankenmuth, MI with her late husband of 26 years, Harold "Woody" Lounsberry. They ran a successful bowling alley and enjoyed traveling together. After his death she met her companion, Joe Elizalde, who preceded her in death.

She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, who loved her family dearly.

Shirley had a love for listening to big band music, dancing, reading, and playing bingo. She loved her pink squirrels and homemade Kahlua.

She is survived by her son Michael (Marsha) Campbell and her daughter Deborah Held; seven grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren.

Shirley was preceded in death by her daughter Dianna Kiger; son-in-law Richard Held; and sister Ethel Raymer.

Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, January 22, 2022, 2:00 p.m. at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin Street.  Shirley's family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the American Cancer Society.
