Shirley A. Matzke

Passed away Tuesday June 7, 2022 at Birch Run Fields Assisted Living; age 87 years. Shirley Ewing was born on April 22, 1935 in Flint, MI to the late Alva and Josephine Ewing. She was married to Albert Matzke in Frankenmuth, MI on September 5, 1953; he survives her. Shirley worked at IGA for many years. She was a member of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, an avid bowler, and loved spending time with her family.

Surviving besides her husband Albert are her children: Vicki Finazzi, Mari Wahl, Scott Matzke, and Randy Matzke; brothers Mike and Donny; sisters Kathy and Joyce; sister-in-law Mildred Rutherford; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; one grandchild; one sister and two brothers.

A private family memorial service will take place. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Lorenz Lutheran Church.
