Obituary

Thomas E. Ezop

Saginaw, MI

Passed away peacefully with family by his side Monday, July 6, 2026 at his home; age 91 years. Thomas Ezop was born on April 8, 1935 in Saginaw, MI to the late Joseph and Helen (Symkowiak) Ezop. He was married to Ruth Ann on June 13, 1959 in Sacred Heart Church in Saginaw. She predeceased him on June 2, 2024.

Thomas served in the U.S. Navy from 1954-1958 assigned to the USS Hancock Aircraft Carrier. He was a U.S.S. Hancock Associate Life Member #209. He enjoyed traveling with Ruth Ann and Navy Veterans and their wives.

Thomas was employed by Western Electric Co. for 30 years and Frankenmuth School District for 13 years. He was one of the founding members of Blessed Trinity of Frankenmuth, belonging to the Men’s Club and the Frankenmuth Archers. Thomas was also a member of the Frankenmuth Conservation Club, American Legion Post 150 and Blumfield Post 229. He enjoyed deer and turkey hunting, and fishing.

Surviving are four daughters: Sharon (James) Weber of Ardmore, AL, Marie (Ben) Love of Vassar, MI, Marcia (James) Weiss of Saginaw, MI, and Theresa (Mark) Mallory of Saginaw, MI; four grandchildren: Erin (Scott) Boss, Erich Weber, Coryn Houser, and Sean Weiss; three great-grandchildren: Jude Weber, Iris and Knox Boss.

Besides his parents, and wife Ruth Ann, Thomas was preceded in death by many close friends and relatives.

Memorial mass will take place on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, 958 E. Tuscola St. Frankenmuth, MI. Fr. Patrick Jankowiak will officiate. Thomas’s family will receive visitors at the church on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Frankenmuth Conservation Club or Blessed Trinity Catholic Church.
