Viola B. Palmreuter

Frankenmuth, MI

Went to be with the Lord peacefully with family by her side, Sunday, September 30, 2018, at McLaren Bay Region Hospital; age 95 years.  Viola was born on September 3, 1923 in Tuscola Twp., MI to the late Conrad and Jennie (Schmandt) Enser. She was married to Ludwig on December 29, 1940; he predeceased her on June 17, 2003. Viola worked on the family farm for the majority of her life. She was a lifelong member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church in Richville. She enjoyed crafting, especially scherenschnitte, crocheting, and sewing.

Surviving are: 2 sons and 2 daughters; Earl and Irene Palmreuter of Frankenmuth, MI, Larry (Audrey) Palmreuter of Frankenmuth, MI, Carolyn Holzhei of Dallas, TX, and Beverly Palmreuter of Troy, MI, 3 grandchildren; Audrey (Tim) Brown, Neal Palmreuter and Rachel (Scott) Sumner, step-grandchildren; Stephanie (James II) La Grow, and Sherry (Craig) Elford, 6 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband Ludwig, Viola was preceded in death by: 1 daughter-in-law; Janet Palmreuter, 1 granddaughter; Sara Palmreuter, and 1 brother and 1 sister; Clarence Enser and Lorna Bierlein.

Funeral services will take place on Thursday, October 4, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael's Lutheran Church, 3455 S. Van Buren Road, Richville, Michigan.  Rev. Wes Gillaspie will officiate with burial in St. Michael's Cemetery.  Viola's family will receive visitors at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. on Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
