Wallace Bickel

Frankenmuth, MI

Passed away unexpectedly Thursday, December 13, 2018 at St. Mary's Medical Center; age 89 years.  Wally was born on June 10, 1929 in Frankenmuth, MI to the late Otto and Agnes Bickel.   He was married to Jackie; she predeceased him. Wally was a lifelong farmer and employed by Saginaw Steering Gear as a machine repair man. He was a lifelong member at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church

Surviving are his three children: Vicky Schoenknecht of Frankenmuth, MI; Gayle (Bobby) Delker of Frankenmuth, MI; and Rick Bickel of Frankenmuth, MI: 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren: 2 sisters, Fran Warnemunde and Marie Creger.

Wally was preceded in death by five brothers and sisters.

A memorial service will take place on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth 590 N. Franklin Street. Rev. Joel Kaiser will officiate. Wally's family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. According to Wally's wishes, cremation has taken place   Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Wallace Bickel Memorial Fund c/o Rick Bickel.
