Rev. Walter David

Frankenmuth, MI

Went home to be with the Lord Thursday, August 22, 2024 at Covenant Medical Center Cooper; age 97 years. Walter was born on November 16, 1926 in Detroit, MI to the late Albert and Bertha (Thiel) David. He was married to Dorothy Kadroh on October 25, 1947; She predeceased him on December 7, 2002.

Walter honorably served in the U.S Navy. He later started off his career being a police officer in Detroit and later found his calling in faith as a Methodist Minister at the United Methodist Church for many years. After retirement he served many families by officiating weddings and funerals in the area.

Surviving are: daughter Christy (Raymond) Davis; two sons, Daniel David and Timothy David; granddaughters Morgan (Frank) Sedlock, Rachel, Naomi, and Hannah David; grandson Joel Keely; and four great-granddaughters, Kerrigan, Kennedy, Abigail, and Hope.

Besides his wife Dorothy, Walter was preceded in death by sister Irma Cross; brother Fred David; and special friend Anni Keilhofer.

Funeral Service will take place on Monday, August 26, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Frankenmuth United Methodist Church, 346 Vates St., Frankenmuth, Michigan. Rev. Ryan Wenburg will officiate with burial to take place in Frankenmuth Township Cemetery. Rev. David's family will receive visitors at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. Frankenmuth, on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
