Wayne A. Pickelmann

Frankenmuth, MI

Went to play music with his Lord on Friday September 18, 2020 at home age 64 years.  Wayne was born on May 28, 1956 in Saginaw, MI to the late Edmund and Edna Pickelmann.  He was married to Susan Zehnder on September 28, 2007, she survives him.  Wayne was the co-owner of Pickelmann Dairy Farms and later owned and operated Pickelmann Lawn and Snow Service.  He was an active member of many organizations, lifelong member of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, St. Lorenz Wind Ensemble for 50 years, Stephen Ministry for the past 8 years, the Siem G'Scheit Club and a prior member of the Frankentrost Band.  He loved playing Santa for many families for many years.  Another one of his joys was to tutor the 5 ^th grade children at St. Lorenz and Rittmueller school bands.  Wayne also spent 15 years getting children safely across Frankenmuth streets retiring in 2018.

Surviving besides his wife Susan are his children Millie Pickelmann of the U.P., Joe Pickelmann of OH; one brother Gerhard "Gary" (Patricia) Pickelmann of Frankenmuth; two grandchildren Shane and Katie Howey; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Janet Pickelmann of Bay City, MI, Penny Pickelmann of Frankenmuth, Elizabeth (William) Schmidt, Timothy (Joyce) Zehnder, Phillip Zehnder; Aunt Lorine Zoellner and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Wayne was preceded in death by his previous wife Janet and brothers Henry and Leon Pickelmann.

Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, September 22, 2020, 1:00 p.m. at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, 1030 W. Tuscola, Frankenmuth and can be viewed at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church website at www.stlorenz.org .  Rev. Shawn Fenske will officiate.  Wayne's family will receive visitors at the church at 10:30 a.m. until the time of service.
