William D. Schutte

Frankenmuth, MI

Went to be with his Lord Monday, August 26, 2019 at his home; age 84 years.  William was born on November 15, 1934 in Turner, MI to the late William and Rosella Schutte.   He was married to Jean Marie Tarnosky on December 29, 1962. She survives him.

Bill served in the US Army stationed in Korea. He was a member of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church and sang in the male choir. He was a former member of Frankenmuth Conservation Club and loved hunting and fishing.  Bill also enjoyed gardening.

Surviving besides his wife Jean are: 1 daughter Sharon (Richard) Van De Velde of St.  Simons Island, GA, 1 son Mark Schutte of Frankenmuth, MI; 2 granddaughters Jacqueline Van DeVelde and Meredith Van DeVelde; 1 sister Clarice Cadovich, 1 brother Ralph (Sandy) Schutte and nieces and nephews.

Bill was preceded in death by 1 brother Leroy Schutte, 2 sisters Janice Zedler and Mary Jane Neudeck.

Funeral services will take place on Friday, August 30, 2019 at 10:15 a.m. at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. and 11:00 a.m. at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church.
Rev. Shawn Fenske will officiate with burial between services in St. Lorenz Lutheran Cemetery.  William's family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the prayer service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Lorenz Lutheran Church Male Choir and St. Lorenz Stephen Ministry.
