Passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2018, at Select Specialty Hospital - Saginaw; age 90 years. William was born on November 10, 1927 in Saginaw, MI to the late John and Sadie Dudewicz. He and Ruth married on February 25, 1952. She predeceased him on June 1, 1994.
William honorably served in the United States Navy. He graduated from Ferris Institute, receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy. He was co-owner of Dudewicz-Epting Drugs in Saginaw for 30 years and later retired from Rite Aid in Frankenmuth.
Surviving William are: three daughters, Diane (Bill) Shelt of Essexville, MI; Karen (Mark) Gustafson, of Rochester Hills, MI; and Leigh Dudewicz of Frankenmuth; a son, William Jr. (Jeanette) Dudewicz, of Frankenmuth, MI; a son-in-law, Dennis Krafft of Frankenmuth, MI; eleven grandchildren, Andrew (Becky) Krawczak, Jessica (Mark) Chase, Kristi (Dave) Bellsky, Kate Krafft, Kellie (Craig) Birch, Stephanie (Mike) Skinner, Steve (Julia) Dudewicz, Carolyn Dudewicz and fiancé Dan Bacon, Erin Gustafson, Brian Gustafson and fiancée Amy Markey, and Kasie Gustafson; seven great-grandchildren, Hadley and Archer William Skinner, Brody and Bennett Bellsky, Brantley, Kyler William and Beckham Birch; and one sister, Patricia Dudewicz.
Besides his wife, William was preceded in death by a daughter, Sally Krafft; two sisters, Ruth McConnell and Phyllis Karbowski and one brother, James Dudewicz.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 27, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, 958 E. Tuscola Rd., Frankenmuth, Michigan. Fr. Robert Byrne will officiate with cremation to follow. William's family will receive visitors at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. on Monday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
